When you implement our Snow Management Program, you are getting peace of mind with 24/7 weather monitoring, property checks for refreeze between snow events, status updates not to mention our extensive crew of trained and experienced snow fighters that are ready to tackle any event thrown our way. No matter what size your property you have, having the right size equipment to service it properly is a necessity. We strategically plan during the preseason what sites require certain equipment and implement this plan accordingly. Our snow plowing operations utilize any and all of the following;

Utilizing the proper plowing equipment for specific site requirements makes a difference when  it comes to being prepared. 

Salt is a crucial element of snow removal to keep a safe and accessible environment. We utilize dedicated salt trucks to provide a quicker response time for our clients in addition to our salt/plow combination trucks.  We also maintain a stockpile of salt at all times keeping several storms worth of salt on hand with several thousand tons of salt reserved at the manufacturers site ready for immediate shipment to our location. Our stockpile is centrally located from our clients at our headquarters in Utica, MI. We also will maintain satellite salt piles throughout the area if a certain sites warrants that.  Different storm scenarios, such as snow vs. ice storms, require different approaches. We are constantly monitoring the weather and we create strategic action plans for salting so you can rest assured that your site is in good hands!  

Ensuring safe access to walkways, steps, handicap ramps, and building entrances correlates to a reduction of slip-and-fall accidents. While many contractors shy away from providing walkway services, we recognize that this service is crucial to a comprehensive snow management program. As we expanded our snow management portfolio into many high priority, zero tolerance sites we have invested heavily in this area. We utilize dedicated sidewalk crews who have received extensive training & site-specific instructions, and specialized equipment and machines for sidewalks including Snowrator plowing & de-icing machines,  specialized walk-behind spreaders, and all the necessary hand equipment needed.  

 We apply highly-effective de-icing materials on sidewalks, NOT rock salt like some competitors.  This results in reduced concrete repairs among other costs associated with rock salt corrosion. We use primarily two different brands of de-icers on a regular basis. Both of them melt snow and ice well below zero degrees while maintaining a residual barrier to reduce the chance of refreeze. Using specific spreaders designed for de-icers, we provide a better and more consistent application which in turn provides  a better finished product and reduces waste.  We maintain a de-icer stockpile throughout the winter season so we are ready for whatever mother nature throws at us.  

The days following a large storm or after several consecutive days snow are just as important as the main event. Many properties can be limited on space and this creates issues with parking or accessibility.  If we start to run out of room to pile snow we will notify you with a plan of action. It may require additional equipment dispatched to your site. We can move snow piles to other predetermined locations throughout the property  and open up areas as needed. We have many wheel loaders statistically placed throughout our service area ready to move when needed. This additional service is always pre-approved by our clients so there is no surprise to you. 

Just like our relocation service, in the event of limited space from an abundance of snow, we may have to haul snow off site to increase usable parking  lot/roadway areas in critical spots. If this is the case we have wheel loaders and dump trucks available to dispatch and solve this problem. After a plan of action is detailed,  we will notify you for pre-approval. This additional service is always pre-approved by our clients so there is no surprise to you.  

Your landscape is a huge investment that you don't want damaged by salt. We offer Burlap installation to protect against winter elements. This is an extremely important option especially in high traffic areas where lawn and landscape are very close to the areas to be salted and de-iced. We always take extra care when applying any de-icing chemical near landscape items, however it is near impossible to keep all of it away due to the conditions at hand.  Burlap fence is the solution to protect your investment.
